TBEN X BoE: Intro to R for Econometrics webinar

The event

Join us on the 24th April where Andrew Blake from the Centre for Central Banking Studies will provide an introduction to R and RStudio, which have become increasingly popular analytical tools across the Bank of England and other institutions, and how R can be used for econometric analysis. The session will also include tutorials and examples to illustrate the power of R for econometrics and to provide a source of material for further self-study.

About Andrew Blake

Andy joined the Bank of England in 2002. He has had faculty and visiting appointments at Cambridge, City and Queen Mary Universities as well as at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research in the UK. He holds degrees from the Universities of Liverpool, Essex and London, and has published on a wide variety of topics in journals such as the Journal of Econometrics, the Review of Economic Studies and the International Journal of Central Banking. At the Bank he runs courses for central bankers around the world on economics modelling and monetary policy.

Please download and review the R and RStudio slide pack ahead of the session, but note that prior knowledge of R or indeed having R installed on your machines is not required.
