Since 2021, TBEN has been delighted to collaborate with The Bank of England (BoE). From hosting webinars and workshops to sharing job opportunities, TBEN members have benefitted from a wide range of programmes and workshops with our partnership! This ongoing collaboration continues to give our members insights into the real life experiences of economists at the Bank - especially within Monetary analysis and Financial Stability Strategy & Risk Team.

About the Bank

The Bank of England is the UK's central bank which aims to deliver monetary and financial stability to the UK economy. TBEN and the Bank have collaborated to encourage a diverse intake into the Bank economic related roles, particularly the Monetary Analysis & the Financial Stability Strategy & Risk directorates in the Bank. Economists within the Monetary Analysis (MA) directorate provide the core analytical support that underpins the setting and communication of monetary policy by the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) to meet the inflation target. Economists within the Financial Stability Strategy and Risk (FSSR) directorate play a vital role in delivering on one of the Bank’s key objectives – securing a stable financial system that is fit to serve the needs of the people of the United Kingdom.
